[Mind]

The mind is an interesting system that has for a long time been perceived as a black box with departments responsible for separable behaviours. It was only recently that the brain and consciousness have been regarded as much more complicated systems where small parts constantly interfere with each other and the environment.

While we cannot point to the part of the brain where consciousness comes from as it is very probably a result of many integrated processes, we can at least finally talk about it as a scientifically-measurable phenomena thanks to work of the Sackler Centre for Consciousness Science at the University of Sussex, Consciousness and Self-Consciousness Research Centre at the University of Warwick and others.
