[Bio-Inspired Machines]

Having studied Evolutionary and Adaptive Systems at the University of Sussex and having been influenced by people such as I. Harvey or P. Husbands, I strongly stand behind the bio-inspired computing movement.

As a result of evolution, the nature is a great self-sustaining system that we still cannot comprehend fully but certainly gives good hints towards how to manage sensorimotor control and how to tackle adaptivity and survival. I believe that we can create true artificial life and integrate our machines with the nature in the future, not only by using more green-friendly materials but also by making the machines behave like living organisms.
